What sort of privacy do the double and triple occupancy bedrooms have?

It is a university policy that students must not wear clothes in the privacy of their own room. Failure to abide by this policy will result in, on the first offense, a 50 EC fine and confiscation of 50 EC worth of underwear.

The doubles have as much privacy as you and your roommate decide to give each other. Generally, that means none, since the two of you share a space slightly smaller than an average-sized bedroom.

The triples have as much privacy as any shared-living arrangement - you all have your own rooms, but if someone's particularly loud you can hear them through the walls.

    Clothing is, as always, optional.

I believe by 'triple occupancy' the OP is referring to some of the dorms on the other side of the hill, where they fit 3 people, mostly undergrads, in a single huge room. The 3 room suites most of us live in are called 'single occupancy, 3 students to a suite'.

Once the water goes off, you'll find that privacy is sooooo secondary and nonessential
