worried, can someone please help me

    Advertisements

I just applied to st. george, and im am worried i might not get in. I am a us citizen who is about to graduate from FSU, with a ** in Biology. I will graduate with around 3.35 gpa and 3.2 science gpa. My mcat scores was 24. I have worked 30 hours a week supporting myself through college, and have volunteered at the local hospital for years now. I also have visited the dominican republic and shadowed my moms cousin who is a doctor for a week. Though i have never failed or recieved a D in a course during college i have recieved 4 to 5 C, during the whole 4 years. I do have a slight downward trend but only because i started with straight A's. The downward trend did come when i was in the middle of some very hardhitting personal issues. Yet those are over, and i just want a chance to follow my dream and enter med school. I was wondering what are my chances to get into st. george?

overall you dont have particlarly bad stats; just explain your situtation (the downward trend) honestly and directly, not overly apologetically, and all the best,

Dude, your story sounds alot like mine and i got in no sweat. Listen, if you want to be a doctor then you'll be a doctor. if SGU won't take you (and i have no idea why not, there are alot of people with similar stories/stats down here) then another med school probably will. The end point is M.D. The path is up to the powers that be.
