Getting an MPH at St. George's

    Advertisements

I have been offered to interview for a spot in the MPH program for Fall 2006 which guarantees me a spot in Fall 2007 in the MD program as long as I earn a 3.5 or higher. What percentage of students generally attain this GPA and go on to the MD program?

Do you think it is worth spending an extra year at St. George's to get the MPH or would it be reasonable to just attend another medical school like Ross or AUC? I am not planning on going into a competitive residency field after I get my MD so I am not sure if a St. George's degree is worth the extra year and money.

and since u are not after a competitive residency, i would say go for a school like Saba, where the tuition is a lot cheaper compared to sgu.

Just a side note...I currently am an MPH student in the states, and I am finding it to be one of the best experiences of my life. I dont know if you are in a rush to finish school or your situation, but I think the MPH degree is amazing.

But the like the previous post said, there are cheaper alternatives and less time consuming. Good luck!

MPH is useful, but you have the desire to get it and learn the materials, otherwise it could be the most boring classes you will ever take.

Save yourself the time, effort and money and just go to Ross....damnit I wish I did....I would be in Miami already.....on South Beach sipping on my Mai Tai and studying.
