Current Student at St. George's, University of London, at UNIC

    Advertisements

    Hey Guys,

I'm starting a new thread as the other one seems to be a bit full, and for prospective students it might be quite confusing navigating through all the information posted on there.

Anyways, I'll start by introducing myself. I am a current 2nd year medical student here at SGUL-UNIC. I have had a great 2 years here (in Cyprus), and have found the standard of teaching to be pretty darn good. As part of 2nd year, I have completed 2 of the 3 clinical rotations, with the 3rd one coming up just before our 2nd year finals.

For my 3rd and 4th clinical years (P&F year), I will be in Chicago, rotating between Jackson Park Hospital and Mt. Sinai (Chicago). I will be sitting the USMLE step 1 early in 2014, and the school has provided assistance with preparing for this exam. The school has also recently been accepted into the American Medical Students Association (AMSA) as a recognised international Chapter.

The GMC has been continuously quality-assuring the course and will continue to do so for a number of years. This is common practice for all UK medical schools. For more information on this, one simply has to visit the GMC website and look at the evaluation reports.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask and I will answer them as best I can and as soon as I can.

How can I apply for a scholarship? Are there any opportunities for campus employment?

Did you mean €35'000? Tuition being 25K/year, 53K appears to be a bit steep..

I was accepted for 2013 but had to defer to 2014. Are there any forms that I need to fill out or how does it work?
