    NYC FL Accreditation

    Advertisements

I wonder if any one can help me answer this. If the school has been running since 1980 how come they still do not have accreditation with FL and NYC. Has Spartan ever applied and been rejected or did they never apply at all?

I notice schools that have been running for 10-14 years have CA, FL and NYC.

Seems a bit weird to me.

The spartan scandal in New york screwed up the NYC approval, it's never gonna happen, it's such a shame too. I personally think they blew the whole situation out of proportion, but that's politics for ya

It depends on what you mean. There are spartan grads working in many states, in NY and Florida. If you mean clinical rotations Im not sure about that bc I did it several years ago. But as for residency and post residency you can work in both states. I finished residency in NY and have met many spartan grads who were residents in both NY and Florida. As for where they did there actual clinical rotations, I never asked but that has nothing to do with obtaining residency as long as its done in an ACGME accredited hospital in any state pretty much sans CA.

correct me if I'm wrong... but I thought Spartan graduates couldn't do Residency in NY since its not a NY approved school ?

So how come Spartan lists NY residents who are supposedly in residency in NY?
