If you are talking about getting dismiss by the school due to low academic scores, then i say it's definitely non-existence. The school will not kick you out if you fail the whole semester, it's up to the students if they wanna continue or not.

If fail rate as in failing a class and having to retake it or repeating the semester, then I say there's a good number of students.
A good number of students had to do a make up exam, repeat the class, or repeat the semester. I personally think that it's no big deal, either way we are all getting an MD.

Residency and passing the steps is a different story
That is a useful information to know. If failing the whole semester is not a problem for school, do you need to pay the same tuition by repeating the whole semester? How about the mentor/tutor system with school?

if you failed the semester then yes you have to pay full tuition.
There is no mentor/tutor system, you are purely on your own

most of the times students fail one-two classes, and the school will have you take an exam. If you pass that exam you will not have to repeat the course you failed. If you don't past, get ready to repeat.

I know 70 percent is passing, but let's say you are unlucky and got 68-69 percent. The professor will most likely past you and give you a straight up 70 percent.

Here is my opinion, if you work hard you and keep yourself focus, you wouldn't have to retake any classes

    Hi:
I thought there's tutoring offered by alumni. Please go to Spartan's Alumni website and you'll see that, unless the information is too old or wrong.

holy cow i didn't know about this. The only help I receive was office hours and other review sources.

Anyways, don't concentrate on failing, retaking, or whatever. Just work hard and you should be fine

Hi, did anyone read Iserson's Getting into a Residency? May I recommend this book to fellows in Spartan? It is practically good, a wonderful asset for medical students. The earlier you read it, the better preparation, confidence you'll find as for career direction.
