Question Regarding Transferring into Spartan Clinical Rotations

    Advertisements

hey guys, i am a potential clinical transfer student and i contacted spartan regarding opportunities for students who have finished basic sciences and passed the step 1 exam to join Spartan and its clinical rotations. i was told that spartan no longer accepts direct transfers into its clinical program, and if someone were to transfer into spartan that they would have to spend 1 semester on the island before starting clinical rotations in the US. I was wondering if someone could shed some light on what transfer students do on the island since we have already passed the step 1 exam, is it some kind of review program for step 2? if anyone has any information on this i would deeply appreciate the help, thanks!

    Similar situation

Given the anomalous nature, I'd be most interested in the Administration's response. It's a given that they want to run you through their own AICM both for familiarization and economic motives. I suggest you contact admin, as I will, and read Blueprints a lot. First one to come back with the right answer wins! Keep your game face on, my friend.

    Confirmation.

In the event we elect to go to Spartan, we would do one semester on the rock before starting Clinicals in the US. If you want Spartan, it seems like a small price to pay.

It is pretty obvious that the school has not claimed NY approval or any other approval they do not have. Multiple people I have discussed it with have stated how up-front the school was regarding the NY approval and their current standing since being recommended for approval. If full approval is given the students can complete more than 12 weeks in NY and do their residency until that point they cannot.
