    Need info on covering cost

    Advertisements

I am considering attending Spartan in August 2011 but I can't cover the costs without obtaining a loan. Just wondering how do you current students cover the cost? Does anyone have any recommendations on what banks/loans to try?

currently spartan doesn't have any loans or scholarships so majority of the students pay out of pocket. However, some students decided to do the extra work and enrolled in an online MBA program from a US accredited university. They will put the code from the online university onto their fafsa so they will be able to obtain federal loans and other loan options. I personally think this is an awsome idea because it looks good on residency, give you an MBA hence opening more doors, and it's not that much work, you only take one easy business class per semester.
The possibility is endless on how u fund you medical school, just keep in mind to borrow wisely

Thanks for your reply! I've heard of that option but I worry that I wouldn't be able to devote time to both. Does this way give enough money to pay for the MBA program, med school tuition and personal expense?

The MBA I'm using is called Davenport, I heard that it is design specifically for caribbean students. They let you take one class per semester, and from the comments on all these forums, it sounds like easy A. As of right now, I am still waiting for my davenport advisor to talk to me about federal and private loan process. I heard that students use this to take out federal and private, and are able to cover a good chunk of what they need. However, it all depends on what school you go to, if you go to spartan, where tuition and living expenses are so freaken cheap, you might be able to cover 90 percent of everything u need

contact this person, William Snyder: [email protected]
he is the admissions personelle from davenport, he helped a lot of caribbean students finance their education. He can answer your questions wayyy better than I can
    I hope this helps

If you need assistance with your davenport class, please add me to Skype (grade-a-tutoring). I have helped several students keep the B average required to receive their financial aid.

    Hey there
I'm really worry about exams for davenport, I don't think I will be able to get a proctor on the island

You don't need a proctor, all of the exams are online.
