Calling recent grads and new students... BIG QUESTIONS EVERYONE WANTS TO HEAR

    Advertisements

So What do you think of the program?

Those you recently graduating, were you able to get a residency?

Did you finish the program in 4 years or less?

Has anyone heard about New York acceptance??

New students, what do you think of your professors? Can they talk clearly in English?

Has many people failed out of basic sciences since the recent updates?

Many thanks to all who can answer.

    Hello,

I am a current Spartan student and so far I like the program very much. Along with a new curriculum there is a 5th semester now and the sweeping changes promised by the new management is definitely taking hold. It is very demanding an very challenging. I have not heard of anyone failing out but I am sure that happens everywhere as well as here. But those that are motivated to learn do just fine. The professors do speak English clearly, lol, I know that could be a problem with some Island schools but we actually have faculty from the U.S. and Canada. Those that are from outside the U.S. and Canada speak English just fine theres no real problem. There are other posts in this forum from recent grads that have made it out and practicing now and they have loved their experience here. Is that unanimous across the board? Probably not, I dont think it would be anywhere but the majority of the people that I have spoken with say they liked it very much. We have been around for 30 years so we must be doing something right, and with the new management we already see the positive effects taking place.

I am a current student at Spartan. I have been pleased with all of the recent changes going on for our university. The amount of hard work and dedication by the Prof's is unsurpassed.
I am very excited about the new 5th semester and know it will help us through our journey.
Pertaining to our professors, I am from the northwest USA, and even I can understand all of them (lol). There is no communication error at all. We have several Profs from the USA and I believe one from Canada.
I have not heard of anyone who has failed out of the basic sciences at spartan. I am sure it has happened but I may not be aware of it. I can say that through hard work and dedication 99% of students will be successful in reaching their dreams of becoming an MD.
Good luck to all who are thinking about taking a step towards becoming a MD. Spartan can help you achieve your goals! Best of luck to all.

I am actually enrolled in the new curriculum at Spartan Health Sciences University, and so from my own experience I can safely say it has met and exceeded my expectations. I will be among one of the first batch of students to get through on this new improved program and I am putting in the hard work and I am confident I will do well. As far as getting into residency, all students who do complete their clinical sciences and required USMLE step1 and Step 2 (CK and CS) after the basic sciences are assured of a residency.
