    Does anyone know where to buy voltage converters on the island?

    there is a store called *china town* that should have them. You can also ask some of the seniors since they might be looking to sell theirs.

    Do we need a voltage converter if we coming from the USA?

    Hello XmaX,

    I take it you are coming in the new class on Jan 2010 if so congratulations on the admission and wish you the best here at Spartan. Some of the houses here already have 110V outlets provided. However, some do not and in that case you would need to bring down a voltage converter because the island uses 220V which also has a different kind of plug. Most U.S. appliances and laptops can take up to the 220V so all you would need is the plug adaptor which can be purchased here on the island for very cheap. Otherwise, you would need a converter, one you can bring with you down to the island or buy one form here. It's probably cheaper for you to bring one down though.
