    Dress code

    Advertisements

    Hi!

I'll be coming in for May '09. I'm packing right now and trying to understand the dress code.

How strict is the dress code?

    Can I wear open-toe sandals?

    Knee-length skirts okay?

Does it always have to be a white shirt underneath the white coat? I read a section where it said all tops must be white, but I am not sure if they are referring to the white coat, or the shirt underneath.

I know this probably should be the least of my concerns right now, but still, it will help me to pack more efficiently!

    Thanks in advance!

Hi, I was hoping someone on the island would respond to your question. However not to many people have the time to come onto the forum. I was on the island when the dress code was just being enforced. I would follow the directions and if you have any questions I suggest you call the SGA president or school secretary (In st. lucia).

Beyond that I have no further advice with regard to the dress code.

    Good Luck...

Light, casual clothing is recommended for off campus to suit the climate. Proper dress (lab coat, shoes, collared shirt, long pants and a tie if so desired)should be worn.

it seems that SHSU is quite strict about their dress codes. They do not allow baseball caps or hats to be worn in classrooms.

And how about SABA? Did you compare the subjects from SABA and Spartan too?

That's really good to know Jasminn. In fact, Spartan is better than other Caribbean colleges in many other aspects.
