I am a 3rd semester student. My ultimate goal is to be licensed in Texas. What route would be the best for me in clinical rotations? Thanks

If you’re referring to whether or not you should do all ACGME (green) clinical rotations or not, the answer is unequivocally that you should...and at the very least make certain all of your cores are. Regardless if your prospective state currently accepts “blue” rotations, guidelines can and do frequently change, and you want to always put yourself in the best possible position. Also keep in mind, do your rotations at ACGME-approved hospitals with a residency/fellowship program that exactly matches the specialty of the rotation you’re doing.
I spoke with the TMB about a year ago. On the page linked below I have a few posts regarding what I then learned. It’s a bit lengthy, so it’s easiest if you check it out there.

I am not saying it is your best option, but around six people in my class transferred to Ross either during 5th semester or clinicals to attain texas approval. Not sure how all that stuff works just relaying info. Hope it works out for you
