I think my interview was about...3 hours max. But the doc that interviewed me was a graduate of the charter class and a therio resident at WSU in Pullman. So after all the required questions and essay, she asked me if I had any questions (which I did) and gave me some great advice on internship/residency placements, etc. Then when we finally looked at the clock we realized it had taken way longer than we thought it would. We met at a Starbucks near the CVM at WSU.
I was told by Bayshore and a doc I know that is an "alternate interviewer" that interviews were strongly encouraged to be held in a 'neutral location' IE not at the clinic, etc.
It cannot legally be a working interview due to worker's compensation and liability laws. I suppose she/he is planning on interviewing you and then having you stay to observe. I can't imagine any practice owner allowing a "working interview" for a vet school application when we can't even have volunteers and externs/interns have to get special worker's comp insurance through the AVMA even for unpaid stuff.
