You should call the hospital to find out: 473-435-2900

It is probably in the 200 EC range...maybe less.

You might be able to get a student to do it for you...it would be free and is definitely supervised. A neuter (orchiectomy) is a pretty simple surgery. However, it is pretty late in the term, it may be difficult to arrange.

The students will do the neuter, while being supervised by a veterinarian. You will be required to make an initial prelim visit, with blood work being done. This will run you around 50-80 EC and then you can schedule an actual appointment for surgery. They charged me around 150 EC for the neuter, e-collar and post-op pain meds. Cheap! If you are a vet student you get a 20% discount on all services from the VTH (note: the prices I've listed are AFTER the 20% discount, I don't remember the actual full price ). If you really are worried about the price you can also get it done at the GSPCA, but I can't vouch for how good the vet care is there. Best of luck.

Thanks DoggieDoc! Do all SGU students get the 20% discount or only SGU Vet?
