    Housing Suggestions

    Advertisements

    Hey guys,
I was originally planning on entering the lotto for on-campus housing during my 2nd term, but I wanted to also keep an eye out for suggestions for off campus housing as well. I would prefer to have a roommate(s) and I would like the overall price to be lower than 4 months of on-campus rent. Has anyone had positive experiences with a particular landlord that you could recommend? Thanks so much!

I can recommend Mr and Mrs C (they own the Chinese restaurant Choo Light in L'Anse Aux Epines) The prices are reasonable and there are several sizes of apartments (plus the view is incredible, especially at sunset over Prickly Bay) Their number is in the phone book-just call the restaurant and ask about renting apts.

I just thought of another apartment that is available- M. and J. C., it's called Sugar Apple Apartments. I think they have a one bedroom available but there are several vet and med students in the same building, landlords live on the property, pets are allowed and encouraged-and it is more like a family atmosphere (even though the people aren't in your same apartment it is still kind of like having roommates) I believe their number is in the book as well, you can PM me if you can't find it.

Oh and BTW Mr and Mrs C that own the Chinese restaurant also allow and encourage pets

hey if anyone is still looking for housing:

Hey if any one is interested there is going to be a brand new 2 bedroom apartment right out side the gate of SGU. Jasz apartments is going to have opening for Jan 1- Dec 31 2009. Everything is brand new including the beds, mattress, and kitchen equipment (it's being installed as we speak). It is $1050 (US) per month for each bedroom which includes water, internet, cable (with a flat screen TV), maid twice a week, and gas.

Distance to lecture is the same as if you are coming from SD2 and going to Charter hall. You can't any closer housing unless you live on campus.

PM me for details or if you have interest.

How does the lottery work? Is it not guaranteed that after first term there will be a room for you on campus?
