US Zoo/Marine Mammal Vets that are SGU grads?

Does anyone know of any SGU SVM graduates who are now licensed zoo vets in the States?

    Thanks!

    I honestly don't know but:

From my experience, just about all zoo/marine mammal vets are boarded (often ACZM). The charter class started in 1999. They would have graduated in 2003. Internships are usually 1 year then a residency is anywhere from 2-5 years. It is possible that someone is doing an internship or residency now, but I haven't heard of such a case. I think it is mathematically impossible for any SGU grads to be boarded yet.

So the short answer is...no, probably not.

Yes. There are a few undergrad courses held there and a few bits and pieces of vet classes. Apparently a vet/m.sc. student is doing some research there for the marine masters.

Other than that it just gathers cobwebs and hosts a few vet parties now and then. Kind of an underutilized resource if you ask me.

Actually, this wednesday it's hosting an American Animal Hospital Assn. (AAHA...student chapter) sponsored chili cookoff. It is a cool building right on the beach. Also hosts the Large Animal Society's (LAS) hog roast once per term. I understand that it used to see a little more marine related activity than it does now.

Again, underutilized for its intended purpose.
