    Graduation Date for Canadians

    Advertisements

I am being told by SGU grads at my hospital that Canadian students really need to graduate by April in order to get diploma, social security number, etc etc in time to start in July. Anyone else have this experience? In order for me to do this I would only be able to take off a total of two weeks between now and then. I am waiting to find out from my hospital's coordinator if I can do radiology during step 2 study time which would make graduating in April possible if I don't take any time off at interviews, although very tight. I have asked my clinical coordinator but have not received a response yet.

Note to future third years: Do clinicals in NY if at all possible, those extra 3 weeks for doing rotations before ERAS applications and 3 more weeks le-way with graduating on time make your life alot easier

I'm August class-- if you are January class you have plenty of time because you essentially start 8 months earlier and graduate at the same time as us.
