    Medicine Sub-I this fall

    Advertisements

Anyone know of anything available? I am strongly considering applying to IM so I'd like to do a Med Sub-I as my first rotation of 4th year (would be starting mid September after I do Step 2). I've emailed almost everywhere in NJ and so far everything I've gotten a response from is full till April, still waiting for some other responses though. If anyone has registered for a Sub-I recently that had availability please let me know.

Best chance of getting an early Sub-I would be at your base hospital, since they give priority to their own. But I'm assuming you've already tried that.

I know some hospitals don't take anyone for med sub-i's outside of their own students... but that could give you an advantage. where did you do your im rotation?

Try St ****** Mercy Oakland in Pontiac, MI. The edu lady is great and really works hard to get students what they need. That hospital also gives lots of pre matches to IM.

Thanks for the info-- for anyone else that's wondering, I've called everywhere in NJ and everyone I've gotten through till is booked till April, I've left messages for a bunch of NY hospitals but don't have a reply yet. My home hospital is St. Barnabas, a bunch of us in my track have been asking my coordinatior but she won't give us an answer- she tends to not book electives until a couple weeks before even if you are constantly asking her so I am thinking that maybe there is space if no one who has been asking has been confirmed...

Anyone know of any in-network PM&R rotations? I tried JFK which is listed on the website and they said they're just aren't taking students anymore (not that they are booked)
