    Emergency Update!

    Advertisements

    Dear All Saint students,
Please be patient. Patience is a character a good doctor or for a fact any medical student should have before thinking about getting into the noble field of medicine. I was advised to respond to this crisis immediately as it is a false alarm. All Saint students please read my words very carefully. This is the work of ill tainted characters and jealous schools of the Caribbean whose names I would not like to mention. They are deliberately trying to bring a bad name to both of the uprising schools. It is my duty to bring together, merge and build a school which is going to stand tall and make doctors of the future. As the Head of educational and clinical affairs worldwide, Head of student affairs, Chief moderator on valueMd, I would like to tell you, we the administration of both schools in Aruba and its sister school Dominica take this matter very seriously and will not be tolerated in the future. It has come to my attention that there has not been any issues with getting any licenses or getting residency. It is only on this forum such a matter is being discussed. We have never in the past or will in the future have denied any transcripts to any students wishing to transfer out as long as they are in good financial standing. We rarely have to deal with any of our students transferring out. Our transfer out rate is less than 5% in the first few months of being admitted to the medical school. We in fact have a sole department for taking care of students wishing to transfer in. So please be advised that there has been NO issue regarding temporary licenses or trouble getting residency brought to the attention of the administration. We are in the process of making 26 residents in the 2011 match. I hope this clarifies the issues. Please do not spread rumors and if they do arise we are asking our students not to be bothered with these rumors. Please and thank you.

    Important Reminder,
Student please take into consideration that if any state or the program you are applying to is asking for such paper work as affiliation forms or agreements please not that such programs and hospitals are not worth your time and effort. Why do they need such things when you can pass the boards? The standardize testing show you are all capable doctors. So what more do they need? Tell them you don't need such residencies and be proud of who you are and where you come from.

Advantages of doing rotations in a global village,
It is to your advantage to do rotation in different parts of the world. So please take advantage of what is being offered to you. We not only provide A grade clinicals, we provide A+ clinicals world wide. All saint university is in the process of initiating a "world wide based medicine initiative (TM)". By doing clinicals in third world countries and in different cultures you are telling you are a doctor with a great mind. You are open and accepting of all the cultures, religions, races and creed. This is a plus for you.

    A balancing act,
If you do clinicals in the All saint university world wide based medicine initiative TM you not only can get residency in USA. You can apply and get into residency in more than 56 nations. Can any other school in the Caribbean grantee anything similar to the 56 nations we can give you.

    Schools in the Caribbean,
Please take do not create a havoc among our students. It is in the your best interest not to proceed with such practices.

    Summary,
If the hospital will not take care of the the licensing issues please be advised it is not a program you want to be in. There are so many programs that do not require such hideous paperwork, please apply to those hospitals.

    Good News,
Lets put all the negatives aside and talk about a few positive issues affecting our students in Dominica. This is our aim in the next 5 years. We will not be having nursing and md programs in the same campus in the near future. Our Nursing program will be in the south of the island in Grand bay and our Md program will be held in the north of the Island in Portsmouth. So students we will have two main campuses in the island of Dominica. In the next 10 years our vision is to have 3 more campuses. We are negotiating with the governments of St. Kitts and Navis, St. Lucia and Grenada. I will update you with positive results in the near future. This school is going big, it is making a lot of residents and it has clinicals all around the world.

    God bless you all,
Dr. A al Q, MBBS, FACS, PhD
CEO of world wide based medicine initiative (TM)
Head of educational and clinical affairs, Head of student affairs, Head of accreditation committee, Chief moderator on valueMd

    All Saints University Official
Addressing Unfounded Rumors, Lies, False Representation and Misrepresentation by
Recent Posters (Mehdy, Soniaa, Risalabad, MD (NEVER affiliated with All Saints
or known to the school), Blackjellyfish, Jackets etc)
FACTS: ALL SAINTS UNIVERSITY DOMINICA AND ARUBA were founded by the same people
(Dr. Y and Mr. P). These are no longer new schools and have steadily grown over
the years to several hundreds of students with tens of successful graduates.
Both schools run the same curriculum put together by these founders and have
produced physicians who passed through only the entire curriculum put together
by these founders. Many of these physicians are currently in residency in
various states and countries (USA,CANADA, NIGERIA). These founders also put in
place facilities that have made it possible for graduates of the schools to pass
their USMLEs and other licensing examinations with flying colors.

ALL SAINTS Dominica has around 400 students, and close to half of this are
completing clinical rotations in the USA [Illinois (Chicago), Georgia (Atlanta),
North Carolina (Raleigh), Indiana (Fort Wayne), Florida (Orlando), Oklahoma] and
Dominica (Roseau). A few students are also completing some clinical clerkships
at McMaster University, Canada, University of Toronto, Canada, Norway, Israel
    etc.

    Basic Medical Science Campus
Located in the heart of Roseau, the capital city of Dominica the 30,000sq ft.
campus is well equipped with state of the art infrastructural facilities,
including well equipped Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pathology and
Histology laboratories, library, student lounge and classrooms. Upper level
Basic Medical Science students go the Princess Margaret Hospital, Roseau,
Dominica on a weekly basis for Physical Diagnosis and ICM. All the professors
have several years of experience and they hold either a Ph.D. or MD degree or
both and are graduates of reputable Universities in the USA, UK, India, Nigeria,
Germany etc. All races and people of diverse backgrounds are well represented.

    Clinical Clerkships
The University has clinical affiliation agreements with several hospitals in the
states mentioned above, if you need additional information contact the clinical
department of the University or the office
of the Dean of Academic Affairs in Dominica to see both the list of the
affiliated ACGME-accredited and teaching hospitals and duly signed affiliation
agreements between All Saints University and the hospitals. The rumor mongers
are particularly invited to see these list and documents.

    Transcripts
The School does issue transcript of academic record to applicants in good
    standing.
The school has never denied any student in good standing his/her transcript of
    academic record on request.
    Transfer Credits
It is up to All Saints or any School of Medicine for that matter to accept or
reject transfer credits from other schools/institutions and no school is
empowered to accredit or discredit the programs of other independent schools.
Only accreditation boards are authorized to do so. The School in Antigua is NOT
an Accreditation Board and is responsible ONLY for its own policies and NOT that
of other independent schools. The Antiguan School DOES NOT and CANNOT represent
the standards /yardstick that other schools MUST follow.
USMLE and Other Licensing Examinations Pass rates
Pass rate is over 70% for first time examinees, with most candidates (about 40%)
scoring between 80 and 89 percentiles) and about 30% scoring between 90 and 99
percentiles. A significant number of students have also scored between 96 and 99
percentiles. Many of these successful candidates from All Saints have already
received invitation for residency interviews for the next (2011) residency
match. You may contact the Office of the Dean of Academic Affairs for further
    details if need be.
    Religion
All Saints is a SECULAR UNIVERSITY. The Dominican Campus is run by people who
have strong faith in the Almighty God and who also have great respect for the
religious views and beliefs of others. The School encourages student
associations, especially Student Body Council and AMSA. The school DOES NOT
encourage or condone proselyting in any form on campus and DOES NOT sponsor any
religious or pseudo-religious organization anywhere. It is a secular University
and DOES NOT discriminate in any form or on the basis of race, religion, creed,
sex, country of origin, socio-economic status etc.
