Hey y'all!! I interviewed/was accepted to Saba for the January 2013 semester and I have been looking for others that have also been accepted and plan on going. I'm just hoping to meet some new classmates on here and hopefully gain some insight

I'll be seeing you there! I've emailed housing about when dorms open to try and help the travel schedule. They open the 2nd of January, just in case you were wondering. Also, if you are US, might wanna check out the Davenport MBA that will let you get US Title IV loans. I just applied to that as well.

    steakguy:

The timeline was pretty quick once all the documents were submitted. I received an email letting me know they had received everything. Within a few days, I got another email asking me to call and schedule a telephone interview. I called and scheduled the next available time (4 days) and interviewed with Dr. B over the phone. About 3 days later there was another email congratulating me for being accepted. I received the packet with all the information within 5 days. So, my estimate would be, depending on how far out you have to schedule your interview, two weeks or so. They are pretty quick. That was just my experience though. I guess it could vary depending on the number of applications, interviews, etc. so I wouldn't set the timeline in stone and worry.

There are other threads discussing it in more detail if you wanna search around. Probably best not to go off one person's experience.

    Good Luck!

Hi, I am currently applying to SABA university with the following stats: 3.4 CGPA, 3.2 SGPA, 22R MCAT.
Do I stand a chance, or might I have to redo the MCAT? Furthermore I have been out of school since 2010 and have been working since. Is this also going to affect my application status?

This should really have been posted under the thread, "What are my chances for admission...". Your stats look fine for admission and should not be a problem. If you have specific questions regarding being out of school and how that may affect an application, please contact admissions directly. However, my guess is you will be just fine.

I agree with Seattle, you might have better results on the sticky. I got in and my stats aren't much different from yours. I had a bit higher cGPA of 3.6 and sGPA at about 3.5, and a 26MCAT. They even let me in (conditionally) even though I am taking one more course in Biochem (they requested it, and the acceptance is contingent upon me completing it successfully) because I didnt have the full year of Ochem. I'm taking Biochem right now and will be headed down to Saba in January. As far as stats, I'd agree that you should be okay.

As far as being out for some time...I wouldnt worry much about that either. I graduated in December 2008 and was accepted. I dont know if my experience played a part in it, but it seemed to in the interview. (I'm an EMT) So dont be surprised if Dr. B is interested in what you have been doing since graduation if you interview. But there is another sticky for interview information, so I suggest you look that over as well.

J, I'm from Louisiana, so I probably wont see anyone until maybe Maimi, maybe St. M. I plan to arrive in St. M January 2nd, and then headed over to Saba on the 3rd. I haven't booked tickets as of yet, but that's on the to-do list for the near future. AA said not to worry about flights after new years, that they rarely fill up and are always available without much of a difference in price.

Hi Rob, how are you planning on getting to Saba?? Ferry or winair? I'm planning on getting to St M on the 3rd and leave to Saba on the 3rd itself. Staying at St M by myself seems bit scary. Do if you have any idea at what time you will be taking the ferry/ winair I can book my flight accordingly and maybe tag myself along with u
