A question for current basic science students...

    Advertisements

I've been lurking around the forum for a while, doing lots of research on the big 4 carib schools. I've come to the conclusion that Saba would be best for me due to relatively high Canadian residency placement, excellent US residency match, small class sizes, low cost etc etc.

However, I'm a bit concerned about the issues with some of the profs/administration that occurred last year. Have these issues been resolved or is the school still going down hill? Are you satisfied with the current academic quality at Saba or would you rather go to AUC (my second choice)?

    I appreciate any input.

Every institution may or may not have an issue w/ administration. Can't let anything get b/w you and learning medicine.

the problem is...faculty turnover, curriculum issues, or WHATEVER are going to occur...Not sure how this affects your decision? Basic sciences are 20 months. So even if everything is 'perfect' right now...maybe after your first semester everything will suck & vice versa.

pick one of the top 4 caribb schools...and work your butt off...thats about it...the other issues/problems are for whiners that need an excuse that they didn't do well...
