    Atlanta clinicals

Hello all, this is my first posting on this site. I ran across it after visiting the Saba web site. I知 interested in attending Saba, and I知 in the process of completing my application for the Jan 2005 class. I live in Atlanta,GA and I知 currently engaged with a two year old son. If accepted, my family probably won稚 join me on the island. I was wondering if anyone could please give me insight on my chances of obtaining clinicals in the ATL area???? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!

Clinicals still going on here. But its directly with a single preceptor who works between his clinic and the hospital, and theres dozens of preceptors to randomly get assigned to. Its rare any 2 saba students report getting the same preceptor. For a while they had students working at Emory on this rotation, but Emory has since closed that door and all the preceptors work thru Southern Regional which is greenbook.

Can anyone actually answer whether Peds and Psych in Atlanta are actually greenbook under family or by specialty. Psych is mainly outpatient in a clinic with 1 week inpatient at Dekalb. I believe it would fall under umbrella. I am not sure what peds goes through, but I assume Dekalb, although I do not believe there is any inpatient part. But since Morehouse does have a peds residency that uses Dekalb, does that make it by specialty? Does anyone know if these actually count as greenbook since they are not formally through Dekalb Medical Center, but are instead with a physician that admits to Dekalb. And what if your preceptor is listed as faculty at Morehouse? Also, are there any grads out there who have gone through licensing that can comment?
