indian govt dosnt recognise ANY foriegn medical degrees

    hey
the thing is that after 2001 , the MCI ( medical council of india) dosnt recognise any foreign medical degrees so you have to come back and pass the exam, no matter where you graduated from ( as long as its outside india) oh and if your univ is not WHO recognised , then u cant even give the exam .
after you pass the exam you get a temp license and can apply for internship, u get a full license after the internship.
about moving to russia , well i might be biased , but i'd say that ukraine is better any day , LVIV national med univ, is in my opion far ahead of ay other univs in the region , and is getting a lot of european recognition , as a result things are getting very tought there and the general standard of education is very very good .
simferopil i heard is also pretty strict , but there's a lot of problems there cos of the no. of malaysians and indians there already,
    anyway best of luck

Its easy get a chance in Kursk and Nizny Novograd but its very tough to transfer to Volgograd...Volgograd is the strictest inst in Russia...and even if you get there its not a cup of tea to continue...they don’t allow any backlogs .......

However Kursk is not MCI recognized

I have also heard about the MCI issue as Highland poet says(the 2002 issue) but these bogus MCI people are to opaque....they don’t have clear Rules laws etc ....In their official website they speak that WHO recognition is enough ,,,,but again the Nat Board that conducts the screening test on behalf of MCI says that MCI recognition is necessary including 7years of registration....the Indian officials are too confusing....even when u go to the MCI to speak directly you get clerk grade people to answer your question .....they know nothing....some of them still assumes that Ukraine is still a part of Russia ...so at the end we have nothing to do But To assume.....I decided to stay on safe side and study in a MCI recognized college

I can help you people if you people want to transfer to My academy (St Petersburg State Med Academy ) for others contact their official Web or You may contact Mikhail (one of the Members of this Forum) though he is an Agent he seems to be Honest

Highland before you make such assumptions as Ukraine Medicine is better than that of Russia it think you must do a bit more research

I personally think Russia is the best option when it comes to CIS .I have been to Turkmenistan Uzbekistan Latvia Belarus AND Ukraine ….but Russia has a far far better condition than any of them.
If you don't believe me then believe what international organizations say …..
GDP per capita Russia : 10 000 USD
    Ukraine : 6000 USD

Last the I visited Kiev I went to Kiev state Med Univ(or something like that ) being invited by my friend …I saw instruments and facility are quite backdated than those compared to our Academy -which is basically a 3rd grade inst as per Russian Standards ….i don't know about the facilities available at the Inst u are talking about…..but the good schools of Russia viz MMA, Pavlov, Moscow state Univ faculty of Med and PFU to me appears far far better than any of the surrounding countries -----They have the Best possible facilities required for undergraduate education .

have you thought about transferring to Romania? I am in Oradea , I am quite curious to know if my univ accepts transferts from Ukraine or russia ...

tip : this year due to administrative problems in bucarest , very few people are in 1st year (11!) so for next year transferts to 2nd year should be easier
