Do u have any idea about textbooks that we will get in the very first year? I am studying R. S. Snell a little bit.

    Hi Cox's Bazar,

nice to meet you here. I know language would b a great barrier during learning at there since the 1rst place. Currently there's no russian lang class at my place so i jz bought some lang books to study. But i think there won't b a serious prob. hv you seen my link above? It says there will be russian lang class provided for us who take english medium for medicine and pre-med and it's approximately 100 credit hrs for each semester. so it's equivalent to 1 hr everyday (6 days per week). so basically we'll only need to write and speak russian fluently starting from 4th yr onwards (clinical yr). And i've approached the students studying there (KSMU) and they assured me tat as long as we work hard enuf, there won't b any prob at all.

Mostly, the students study at there depends on the lecturer's notes. and books are only mend for reference. and it seems tat you are quite knowledgeable too especially about those books.

Which area or topics are you reading now for R.S. Snell? Anatomy, ... etc? i'm interested to know too. ^^

and for Want2badoc, check out this website too. it's the agent i'll go through b4 settling down in russia. there might b some useful info u wants to know. - www(dot)ksmu(dot)com(dot)my

That's wonderful 2 hear from u! Don't tell me buddy! I find myself at sea when I was studying the second chapter of R.S. Snell that has all the descriptions about THORAX. The chapter name is THE THORAX:PART 1 THE THORACIC CAVITY. I can understand that unless u don't visualize these things practically u don't get 2 know them well.Right now I have skipped chapter 2 and am studying chapter 3. This is making quite sense 2 me.

R u from KSMU? Which year? Will they teach me russian language as said in the website? Trust me, I am really enjoying the russian language class here in my country. The lady teacher is so good and russian language sounds so melodious to me: I can't explain in words! I am the best student so far in our class. And the teacher really appreciates me. Okay bye!

N yeah, thanx for the suggestion of method of studying.

How do u find the teachers there edward89? I don't expect them to be stunning in English but I expect them 2 be helpful about anything that a student does not understand. Can u suggest me which to book 2 follow for genetics? what book r u following?

    hey Cox's Bazar,

I've jz registered for the KSMU for pre-med for this sept, i hvn't even gone to the uni yet. I agree that study anatomy needs a lot of one's own imagination. i'm reading one book about the ankle and leg's anatomy but i forgot whose the author. I read it in library.

If you want to know the situation over KSMU, it's better to approach the students at there. You can find some in forums and asking them to gv them their email or msn. i've got to know some. and about the teachers, i heard it depends on which teacher you'll get in ur class. some of them especially those from the head of each departments are very good in teaching and most of them are hving PHD. i've not studied up to genetics so i can't help you. but i think pre-med is jz hving phy, bio, chem and etc. it's not yet to approaching medicine. so i suggest we better concentrate on those sub although it's not a wrong thing to b hardworking and enthuasism about undergraduate medicine's subjects.

and yea, i've seen your other post in another topic. why do you want to transfer to Ryazan during the 2nd yr?

Sorry. Actually I read all your posts carefully only after I have sent you my post. That is why I asked you many questions that you had already answered in your posts before.

Ryazan came to my preference after reading a thread by the school official Mikhail stating that the tuition fee in Ryazan for English medium MD from 2nd year onwards to 6th year is USD 2500. Apart from that what seemed important to me is that Ryazan is only 250 km from Moscow whereas Kursk is 500 km from the city. A very aged doctor who had passed his MD from Russia told that it’s better to move near the city when you are staying in Russia. This is partly because of the favorable weather and partly because of the other living facilities that you are likely to get whenever you are nearer or in the city of that country.

But buddy, there is something I wanted to ask you.

    • There in Malaysia, after you have contacted your agent, how much did he charge from you for getting you an offer letter?
    • When are you expecting your offer letter to come?
    • Have you completed your O levels only or also A levels as well?
    • How far is Sarawski from Kuala Lumpur?

Is your language practice going on okay. U can ask for help from me. Visit languagehelpers(dot)com. A great site for starters!

    Take care. Bye.
