    Time off between rotations

    Advertisements

does anyone know how much time off are we allowed to have before starting a core rotation/elective. is 1 month ok?? not leave of abscense, time off between rotations. i have tried to get elective in medicine during my time off time; seems like you have to be a fourth year student to get electives in medicine. not sure about that. i am having a hard time getting electives; i emailed to wycoff in november and ever since no reply from julius. don't know what to do. i think it would be a better idea if we could put phone numbers and name of of the hospitals where we could do electives. any comments on this issue anyone...........thanks

    call your advisor

    Maa:

If you pestor your advisor and the Clinical department to get yu the electives they should be of help. If you read the Ross Clinical guidelines it states that the Clinical department will get the student "ALL" their rotations not just the cores. Of course they are understaffed and unless you send emails, call or best yet go and see them in Edison you will ge t little satisfaction. Try my suggestions and see if it helps. You are paying big bucks abd you should get the services you are paying for.
When you become my age you will realize all of the hard work and studying was worth the effort.

You have all the time off you need. There is no maximum time for cores or electives so it could take 3 years for all Ross cares.

Get off your beehynd and get after the advisors and make them give you your rotations (asking nicely, of course). Electives are 4th year and up to you, but cores are scheduled by the schizzoole.
