Amount of time between step 1 and starting rotations?

    Advertisements

What is the average amount of time that it takes to start your rotations after submitting your step 1 scores? It takes about 1 month to receive your scores, right? I wouldn't mind taking 2 months off after the exam to just rest if that is possible and not something uncommon to where it would create a problem w/ financial aid, etc.

    time

i did my exam a few years ago at the end of feb, and my step 1 scores came back at the end of march. I started rotations the 3rd week of april. unfortunately, it wasn't a "core" rotation. I did some "non-medicine" electives (pathology, neurology, and radiology) before I started my core in June.
