    English Diag test?

    Advertisements

I know this may seem like a stupid question but I was looking over the welcome packet and the schedule for orientation week, what is the english/diag test? Do we have to take it then at like 10 am before we ever start med school . Hmm, I don't like that.

you don't have to take it. just walk out.

it doesn't even count. i'm not kidding.

    i skipped orientation altogether.

orientation is pretty useless in my opinion. if you've been to one college orientation, you've been to them all!

    English diagnostic test

Look, I would strongly recommend you go to orientation. I went and I learned a number of valueable things. As far as the english diagnostic test, it's purpose is to see if you are able to extract the information that you should be able to (as a college graduate) from the information that has been presented to you. If you know that your level of english comprehension is what it should be, then dont go to it (it isnt mandatory). But as far as the rest of orientation, I personally would go. I think it will help you.

    thanks

Thanks for you advice. I think that I will go just because I wanna try to get any info that I can. I am kinda scared and I think it would be good to attend. I talked to my advisior and she also said that you don't need to take it but can if you want to.

    to give an idea

it's almost like a MENSA test...you know that international IQ test...

fill in the blanks, matching, logical sequences, read a paragraph and answer questions etc..

nothing to study for, nothing to lose any sleep over...just enjoy it (if you do take it) :-)
