For Clinicals, what are the chances of doing it in NYC?

    Advertisements

I live in NYC, and am strongly considering Ross, priamrily because it seems stable(devry), and because it is only 16 months, and finally it looks like most clinicals are done in the North East.

However, does anyone end up doing clinical in PA or FL if they wanted NY, or does everyone who wanted NY is doing it in NY? (I know "everyone" is obviously impossible, but a VERY high percentage).

Please help I am dying with all the US Med School rejections so far and need some emotional light at the end of the tunnel. Although i still have 16 more schools i havent heard from yet.

    NY rotations

If you want to be in NY for clinicals, you won't have any problems.

    nothing to worry about

you can do all your clinicals in NY, dont' worry. It maybe mostly in Brooklyn. Though, the 5th semester you have to do in miami, FL with the rest of your class, so there is absolutely NOTHING to worry about.

    The problem does not exist

Most people at Ross are forced to move to NY because most of their rotations, at least for easy scheduling and not much moving around, are there. For those of you who are from NY, the problem is nonexistent. You biggest worry will be whether to drive or take the train and whether the hospital is in a tough neighborhood. Its all good.
