    5th

Not precisely sure about #'s, but I believe we had around 300 the 1st semester and now in Miami we have 286 but that includes A LOT of transfer students and BMSI students.

I'd say we lost at least 100 of our original class.

Re: To 4th and 5th semester students

Alot. I'm in 4th now and I'd say at least over a 100.

3rd is the worst and is when alot of students are held back. I remember first day of 3rd semester, one of the professors said that if you had problems with 1st or 2nd, then there is a likely chance that you will fail 3rd b/c its a whole new ballgame from there on (in terms of materials and course load).

    3rd

last semester, nearly everyone passed third and are currently sitting in 4th. however, the semester before, there were around 70-80 repeaters.
    things here are incredibly variable.

your success/struggle in first or second doesn't matter in third. many students generally have a background in 1st or 2nd and 3rd semester comes as a shock. however, if you were struggling to learn everything since day one, it is just a continuation of efforts. one can't make generalizations here on the island, it is just too variable. people fail 3rd/4th while claiming they had 4.0 in 1st and 2nd. you never know.

    whats the point?

the number of people who failed out of a class means nothing to you. I can tell you as a grad, I NEVER saw anyone fail who didnt deserve to. to be honest, i saw a few people pass who shouldnt have. there are no quotas, class number limits, or anything like that to worry about. just worry about YOU. study hard, learn the material, and you willbe fine. people will fail. they do at US schools too, so what would you expect ata school which takes those who a US school wouldnt.

wow thinsg have changed which is good! we started with 250 in semester 1, left with 80 original people by semster 5, then about 15 that failed 5th semster (board review semster), i guess theyre not out to make as much $$ these days....

blah, blah, blah...as usual Jim, you sound like a broken record. Maybe you should ask yourself if you've ever had a point Jim

started with 160 on the island, ended up with 100 in miami.
(some failed, some transferred, some had to take BMSI).
