I miss the bakes, juices, how friendly most everyone was, and waking up...walking down the road and seeing the Caribbean Sea.
OK since i logged in my old account, I'm all nostalgic now...
What are some good memories you have of the Island, or the Ross Experience??
I miss the shacks... and going to the IGA my last semester....and even the gym at Ross and the student center LOL.. Even learning how to drive around Miami, going to the beaches there during time off during 5th semesgter...
Damn, good times, in retrospect. Getting older is tough, you can't go back, but at least we have memories

Yeah, I don't think I appreciated it as much at the time... but they were good times. I do miss being able to look out at Caribbean Sea everyday, the simplicity of life, and post-mini gatherings (i.e. Beach bash, etc.). Now future students will have a whole different perspective living in Barbados.
I'm IN for this lol It's truly the end of an era.
My misses of Dominica/Ross:
*Flying in from whatever island in that "Jurassic Park landing"
*The wacky drive from the airport
*Amazingly fresh food from the kitchenettes, wraps and juice from the shacks; eating by or on the beach
*Hearing the waves from the Caribbean on really quiet nights
*Brown water that becomes fizzy
*Feeding the electricity meter
*Driving on the wrong side of the car on the wrong side of the road, including when I rented a car and made it to Roseau in 40 minutes which my land lady freaked out about
*Super nice islanders
*Eating pineapples right off the trees (when you found them)
However, knowing that I/we survived and lived through a lot to get where we are as doctors is priceless! Although I might accept the invitation to see the Barbados campus in April. You know, making dat attending $$ and all LOL
