The best is to go to a US med/DO school, then it would be one of the big four med school in the carribean (SGU, AUC, Saba or Ross).more info is available on this forum that supports my statement. spend some time to check out the threads.

    Good luck!

With that decision definitely Ross. Federal Loans, all 50 states, and they have really improved the last 5 years to take care of the students much better.

It really depends on you as a person. If you like the smaller class setting and don't want to (or more importantly: need to) take remedial classes to know your strengths and weaknesses, then go to MUA. It also has federal loans and is approved in every state except the ones where you probably won't match anyway (I am looking at you California). But if you feel that you can use a little brush up on your studying skills and need to revise knowledge from undergrad, or if you are unsure that this route is the right one for you, then you should try MERP. The passing for Ross MERP is 65 which is doable. If you know your strengths and weaknesses and know that you are ready to start learning medicine and are excited, then go to MUA. Either choice is a good one at the moment. It also depends on your ambitions as to what field you want to enter. If you know you want to go into a very competitive specialty, then you are better off going to Ross because their clinicals are better. But then, you will most likely also have to sit out a year after graduation to start your residency if you went to Ross because you will be starting in their September semester as opposed to MUA's May semester. Sorry my analysis is jumbled but those are kind of the comparisons and ultimately it depends on your priorities. You can't go wrong with either choice unless you go wrong in choosing what is important and realistic for you.

I was accepted to MUA and Ross. The tuition cost was a big factor for me and I believed I would run out of money if I went to Ross so I picked MUA. Also, at the time I applied I heard there were a lot of delays for rotations; that may have changed now. the biggest factor for success going to a off shore medical school is the student. Bear in mind there are some shady schools to avoid. Because Ross is more established, if the additional things Ross offers (i.e. funding, california) is a factor for you then Ross is a better option. I am nearly done residency now and happy with my decision to attend MUA. Ross is a more established school but MUA has a good tract record and is a solid school.
