    Mps

    Advertisements

Will a higher class average on tests push the MPS up. our class averages have been in the seventies. I have scored in the seventies first below the average of 77 then above the average of 75. Will i be ok if i keep scoring in the mid to high seventies, not that im aiming low, but i would like to know where i stand.

    thanks

Last semester our averages were actually a lot lower than previous semesters and our MPS ended up being 64...We were told that it has almost always been 62 or 63 and never 64...Well even with a low average, our MPS was 64...Aim for at least a 65 or preferably a 70 and you should definitely be fine.

Only the people that fall within MPS affect MPS. Those with 70 and above won't affect your MPS at all.

    I am so confused :/

MPS on avg is around 62-65 correct?

    Semester 1 has the:

    Foundations module
    Heme + Lymph module
    Musculoskeletal 1 module
    Integument 1 module

So do we have to get above a 65 on each module separately?
Or do we just have to pass the entire semester?

Ok... 1) Have to pass entire semester as of now (used to be individual modules but I think overall passing is a pass).
    2) You can't count on any previous MPS for the final MPS. Reason being is you don't know whose final grades will fall within the MPS range. So as example. 100 students final grades are between 60 and 69 at the end of the semseter. The average of all those grades is 64, guess what MPS is 64. Forget whatever you think you know about MPS or well mini 1 it was 62 and mini 2 it was 66 so it should be 65. It could be 69 because all that matters is whose final grades end up in that range after all the previous minis and practicals are added up. I hope this helps explain it.

lala, just get a 65 and you will be fine. also, just like medic said you dont need to pass each module. Overall passing is a pass for all semesteres. You just add up your percentages from each exam and make sure they are more than 65 lol. If you are struggling, talk to someone in CTL and get a tutor. Also, make sure you are doing the old ctl questions...VERY HELPFUL! This next exam should not be so bad. Mini 4 is not that bad if you stay on top of things. PM me if you have specific questions about a certain professor or subject. Good luck!!!

No stay out of MPS range and you'll be fine. That's the best advice!
