    IM residency without IM SUB-I??

    Advertisements

I am planning on applying to IM residencies in the next couple of months but have not done a SUB-I. Is this bad?? I have done lots of IM electives like GI, EM, Nephrology, ID, cardio, ICU. Please let me know what you think if you have been through the match process. Thanks!!

Obviously an IM Sub-I would be best but with that many IM electives you should be ok. Especially if you did great and get a great LOR from your IM core.
