97% 1st time USMLE Step 1 pass rate.

    Pretty good.

Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM) students achieved a 97 percent first-time pass rate on Step 1 of the United States Medical Licensing Exam® (USMLE) in 2013, according to the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates. Once again RUSM’s performance on USMLE Step 1 matched United States and Canadian medical schools.

“Ross University School of Medicine has a track record of educating resilient and determined medical school students to become sought-after physicians. That starts with the rigorous education they receive in our basic sciences curriculum,” said ****** A. Flaherty, MD, dean and chancellor. “Our academic approach, combining high-tech learning experiences with close faculty-student interaction, can not only prepares students to excel on the board exams, but in clinical training as well.”

Graduates of international medical schools are required to take and pass USMLE in order to practice in the United States. The Step 1 exam is designed to assess medical school students’ knowledge of the basic science foundation of clinical practice.

They don't pay me a dime. But I'm extremely happy with the opportunity and education given to me so I have no problem showing the world that. How much do you feel they screwed you to keep trolling? I know you're not posting here out of the goodness of your heart.

Completely apples to oranges comparison when comparing Ross Step 1 pass rate to US schools. For one, a good chunk of the incoming class at a US med school doesn't eventually flunk out. Second, there is no screening exam for US students unlike Ross which requires the Comp, further screening out weak test takers. The Comp especially skews the stats. What would be the pass rate if Ross allowed everyone who passed all the basic science requirements to take the exam (like US students do)?

I keep hearing about poor attrition rates. How many people actually not make it into graduation? During the info seminar, they said they accepted ~900 people last year, and over 800 matched into residency spots. So the attrition can't be that high?..
