    Ross Banter

Since most of the other forums have a banter thread I figured, hey why not the Ross forum. This is a place to just talk about non school related stuff, but as with everything else it MUST REMAIN CLEAN. If people abuse it then the thread will be promptly locked. I hope everyone enjoys.

Is there a big shopping mall? or any online craglist site that allow students to trade? I would love to buy some electronics there (monitors and such).

If you think this is an island that has shopping malls you are in for a big surprise lol. It's very "under developed" as they say. No US type electronics for the most part all chinese. If you ship anything in it will cost a pretty penny. Don't put in barrel either, customs will rape you. Bring in your checked bags. That being said there is probably some sort of outgoing student who would sell you some stuff. Make sure to check facebook as well.

I second this message. Bring your electronics as luggage. They will bury you with taxes if you try to ship it...

So current or former students on the island:
-what are a few things out of the ordinary that you couldn't live without that you either brought or wish you would have brought?
-what was your favorite activity on the island?

not really anything that i could live without, maybe bring a mosquito net for your bed, a sweater, contact solution, i dont know lol, sports are my favorite activity and snorkeling, bring fins and goggles with you unless you want to pay out your *** for them here, everything is more expensive here.

Happy to have it with me :
-Canadian Beer - Sent it with my shipped packages and it was awesome when I got it
    - Protein Powder, Snorkeling equipment

    Activity on the island:
    - definitely everything that has to do with water and outdoor
    - many opportunities to play sports (volleyball, soccer..)

I agree with the snorkeling equipment. A good laptop is what I would recommend the most. It is something that you will use every day to study from, relax with and communicate back home with. A quality set of sandals is also necessary. Maybe a huge supply of top ramen or something for those late night studying hunger urges.

You need a good laptop and headset.

As for activity , favorite is beach related (snorkeling when water is clear, sailing when time allows) ,volleyball with the team.
