    HELP! What are my chances?

    Advertisements

    Hi everybody:

I am a student at UCSD and plan on applying to ROSS and SABA for any of the next three acceptance periods.

I have a 2.8 science and 2.8 pre-med GPA. I have completed structural biochemistry and metabolics along w/ many other upper division classes. I am a student at UCSD. I scored a 21 Q on the MCAT. I have approximately 100 hours of volunteer work at the VA hospital.

What do you think my chances are?

THANKS SO MUCH FOR ANY RESPONSES.

depending on when you apply, you may have a marginal shot...Jan terms are usually the lightest, but dont bet on it...just apply...Ross has a MERP program for borderline applicants...it can be expensive but its a last shot for alot of people....

You will be accepted, but you may be required to complete MERP.

I was just merped with a 20Q, 2.8gpa (microbiology and molecular biology) with a bit lower science gpa.

I had an amazing interview though- the interviewer told me I was either gunna be merped or accepted.

Trust me... make an interview amazing and you can convince them you're worth it! Goodluck!

See those who r merped for november =)

Yea, go with what blondystippy said. If the interviewer is impressed by you (other than academically) you will get a spot. And try for January, since that is when the least amount of students come in. Also, google around about how you should be during an interview for medical school, it helped out big time.

    Good Luck

those stats are right on with MERP, havent seen anyone with those stats get straight acceptance post on this board in some time, just my observation, but shoe in for MERP IMHO. good luck and rock the interview, anything can happen and ultimately its up to the adcom here in Dominica

Hey guys. I got a 3.4 science gpa and a 24P on the MCAT, but wont be graduating until next year Summer. My worries are trying to get accepted for Jan '10 without having my degree, but having the minimum 90 hours. What are my chances of getting in?
