    clinicals-is this possible?

    Advertisements

Is it possible to do a psychiatry elective at two different hospital? I have done two weeks at one...I am hoping to do a couple weeks at another. Also, does anyone know if anest. at MIH is greenbook...I tried looking on ACGME but did not find this hospital accredited for anest...however, I was told that caritas is affiliated with new york medical college...soo confused. Please help. thanks

    it's not.

That doesn't mean anything. The specific anesthesia rotation has to be done in an anesthesia department where there is an anesthesia residency program or one that is a major teaching affiliate of such a residency program.

btw, your previous post regarding greenbook indicates ( correct me if I am wrong ) that its most important to do core rotations that are greenbook...well, anest. is an elective...so would I still have a problem with Ca. licensing? Thanks Sree

thanks novamd, I did call the CA med board and did confirm that the state would in fact accept the elective because of the hospitals family residency...so I guess my advisor was right
