    What is the minimum and maximum amount of time I can do a specific elective for?

    2-4 weeks i think, depending on whatever it is/hospital

    i've done 6 weeks, but i think that's the maximum

    btw, since I have done only one psych core rotation with a nine week gap until my family med. rotation begins...will I have a really hard time finding an elective without all the other cores completed? thanks

    9 week wait between rotations! That's tough, sorry to hear that. You should be able to find an elective. Will the clincal department not help you out?

    Yea, you are going to be limited. Any internal medicine elective usually requires the core first. Some options you might try are rads, anesthesiology, path, or a psych elective.
