For those that dive, did you ship your tanks down or do you just rent them down there.

    Thanks!

tanks are SUPER-cheap to rent. I wouldn't consider bringing my own.

When I dive Dominica I always rent my tanks and weights, but I take the rest of my own stuff.

rent em. its illegal to dive without teh dive shops anyways, so you might as well use their stuff, gives you more room in your barrel for food.

I have never heard of anyone shipping their tanks to go SCUBA diving. Total waste of luggage space.

I'm planning on bringing my bc, reg, mask, snorkel, and fins. I haven't been able to find any information about the scuba club on campus. How often do people dive during school? I was hoping to go one morning on the weekends as planned no-study time. What is the cost per dive if you have to go with a government approved divemaster?

cant recall prices, but yea, you can't just go from the beach whenever you feel like it(unless you were a divemaster or instructor and worked at a local shop). i dove 1 weekend am every other week, i dove all weekend prior to an exam( i felt that i did better without the cramming, and destressing instead!) i dove after minis(they usually have a night dive on the days of minis. )

I will bring my regs down, do the rental tanks use DIN or yoke valves?
