    Laundry Svc

    Advertisements

    Hi,
So since last semester I keep getting poor laundry service. My clothes are either not clean enough or bleached to death, and they smell like crap as, it's as if they've been rinsed in the Indian river that runs under that little bridge. It's horrible how most services i've encountered have NO concept of using softner. Can someone please recommend a good pick-up and drop off service??

    Thanks

Kirlene's, playa. 276-2616. She will use bleach unless you tell her not to (which I had to do), but she knows the harm it can do. I complained and she was like, "Yeah, I was considering not using bleach because I saw your socks were starting to go, but I did anyway because I wanted your clothes to look good." So use her but tell her what you want. I also had to complain once because she hung my laundry out to dry but you know how people down here burn their trash? Well, my clothes came back smelling like they just survived a 3-alarm fire. I don't think she burns her trash, but someone nearby must have. Anyway, just ask her not to hang them out. She's been great once we got our expectations straight. I think she's overnight only however. As in, she picks up/drops off between 7-8am daily and that's it. So if you get your stuff picked up Monday at 7am you wouldn't get it back until the next morning. Good luck.

Magdelene's and Hermina are suppose to be pretty good. Do not, under any circumstance, use Ocean's Laundry.

Playa, I did use Kirlene, no wonder my stash smelled like trash! So, she's been hangin' my clothes outside. I think that's where things are going wrong. Thanks for clearing that up.

Actually, when I read your OP, I got a sneaking suspicion she was who you were talking about. Ha ha. Sorry, man. I think she likes to save money by hanging clothes out instead of putting them in the dryer--I had to stop that real quick. I couldn't take the whole "camping" smell. Anyway, best of luck--or just set some guidelines with her. Once we got things straight she's been the best I've used down here.
