    Do we get DENTAL?

Is dental covered in our insanely expensive $300 per 4 month health insurance plan? Or are we supposed to graduate with gingivitis?

i dont think so, let us know though, i need to get a cavity filled
If you want to do something, then you will find a way.
If you want to do nothing, then you will find an excuse.

No, dental is not covered under the chickering plan aetna offers. I wanted to get a routine cleaning done and I called to make sure whether or not it was covered and was told that only emergency visits were covered, i.e. you break a tooth, or get stabbed in the gums or something.

I was just comparing the $300/4 month price with the $30/month price I paid at my job for full coverage INCLUDING dental...so in that respect it is a lot

Well, don't forget that the insurance they promote on the island covers emergency evacuations from the island. If, heaven forbid, something does happen that requires a life or death get-me-the-heck-out-of-here ticket and you lack Ross's insurance, expect to pay ... a lot (understatement). It's worth it for the time being on the island.

you do realize the 30/month is what you pay, but your job pays a large sum as well. near $2k-$3k a yr usually. that is also with group discounts because most places with full coverage have at least 20 employees. luckily my job has no employee expense for my benefits, they cover everything except my $15 copays.

Yeah I was the manager of a licensed Starbucks store inside Target...so they had much more the 20 employees, probably 200...in my store alone.
