    Pets and Housing

    Advertisements

Hi, I'm starting Ross in January and already thinking about housing. I HAVE to bring my two small pomeranians but am having trouble finding housing that allows pets. Does anyone know of any apartments/houses around Ross that allows pets? Also, I read that if you are bringing pets, that an "official" must inspect the house you'll live in. You must have a fenced in backyard supposedly. However, I've found pet friendly apartments that do not have fences. Is it true the house must pass inspection in order for Dominica to let you live there with your dogs? Anyone with any information about housing and pets or just in general going to Ross with a pet, PLEASE post what you know. Thank you.

i brought my dog and didnt really have any problems. my house didnt have a fence and if your dogs are mostly indoor dogs then it shouldnt be a problem. the apt i was at was lawrence john apts talk to the housing people they know who it is. no official had to do any inspection so i wouldnt worry about that. you do have to get the import certificate before you head down though. the schools website has contact info for the head vet guy down there so just talk to him and it should be all good. good luck.

Brought my cat, Mr Bond, Interntional man of Mystry that he is

I ave had few problems with him around. Just be sure to get a rabies screen done early, as they sometimes take a whie to get back and the dominicans like to know you are bringing a rabies-free animal

    best of luck
    This aint rocket surgery
