I don't know about the Eddie George places per say, but know where they are. They look ok from the outside.
In my opinion though, as someone who lived in Glanvillia for 2 semesters, I would recomend paying more and coming closer to campus. The apartments in Glanvillia are good, but then 50 feet from your door is pretty bad squaler. There are LOTS (seriously LOTS) of roosters, plus you need to contend with the natives and their quirks (drinking, arguing, buring trash).
Living in Glanvillia was an experience for me, but I moved closer to campus and am MUCH happier for it. Im sure not everyone's experience is the same as mine though. If you are a girl I think you would feel safer closer to campus. Just my 2 C

I am a girl and lived in Glanvillia for a semester. My apartment was nice enough but it was just really far from campus. Rockjock's not kidding about the roosters, either. There were at least a dozen of them that would crow all night long. They had no sense of time whatsoever. Also, the locals can be friendly (some a little too friendly) but they can be loud. They like to blast music and sometimes get into drunken arguments. I never felt in danger while I lived there, but it was kind of annoying. The walk is long, too, especially when it's really rainy or really hot. Very rarely did I make it to class without being drenched in either sweat or rain. It wasn't really all that bad but it is SO much better living close to campus.
