i know my MCAT is crap, i took it for the 3rd time and my mcat did increase, but for some reason cannot increase to a 500.
my practice scores range from 500-512 and it still shocks me how low my orginal score is.

i know i probably cannot get into Ross right away, but will i get a chance for Merp?
First of all, September is the more competitive term.
Second, You took the mcat a 3rd time and got... a 477? Do you realize that the lowest score you can get is 472? When converting that to the old score do you know what the equates to? 9. You got a 9 OVERALL on your mcat (The 1st percentile). Did you answer C for all the questions? I did that once on a practice test and got a 480...

If you apply, they will kindly tell you to retake the mcat. You will not get into merp. However, considering youve taken it 3 times and didnt even break into the 480s... Im not sure how successful youll be the fourth time.

Im not trying to be mean, but you need to be realistic about this whole medicine thing.

Did you get a direct acceptance or MERP?

    Graduated Economics
    cgpa:2.55
    sgpa:3.0
Got a C- in bio twice and kicked out of bio major to econ major. Also failed Calculus and had to retake it.

Took pre-reqs at a local college and withdrew 2 semesters. 1st semester was because I wasn't used to school anymore and wasn't doing so well (C's), 2nd semester I was getting straight (B's) which I thought wasn't good enough and withdrew before finals. Afterwards finished the prereqs and retook prereqs I did poorly in, such as bio,

    New gpa with grade replacement.
    cgpa:3.1
    sgpa: 3.4

    MCAT 494

I have clinical hours, and one or two extracurricular/volunteer work. Originally applied for spring term, but was told they were still accepting for fall term (about 30 days). Got an interview scheduled before submitting anything (LOR/transcripts/MCAT). Seems pretty rushed to me. Also if anyone is accepted Fall term, feel free to pm me. Let's meet up if I get in.

I got a direct acceptance. I think you stand a good shot of getting in. Your grade replacement helps a bunch. Ross doesn’t factor in both grades for a course repeated only the last grade.

Ross actually does look at both grades, I believe SGU is the one that only looks at your repeated grade. I honestly think you have a fair chance to get in but they might offer you merp. And yeah I got an interview the day after I applied so its pretty normal lol.

Ah okay thanks for the info! I was under the impression that Ross doesn’t look at all your grades. I think since they look at all your marks you may possibly be MERPed. I’m not sure about SGU because I didn’t apply there but AUC definitely takes the second grade because they read off your GPA and MCAT mark to you during the interview. (My GPA factoring in both grades would be lower). Blackpuffs, I think you would get into AUC because they would take the 3.1 and 3.4 GPA as is.

It probably isnt. They interview and accept students up to a week before classes start. Keep in mind it might be a hassle trying to complete all your health requirements and paperwork in this short period of time.

Hi I would like to know what are my chances of getting accepted into Ross University School of Medicine for September 2019. My college gpa is 3.45, science gpa 2.9, mcat is 495. I have over 200 hrs of volunteer experience in shadowing physicians at a hospital. I am also currently working in a lab as an undergraduate researcher and planning to get a publication for my research by the end of this year.
