    Transfer from EU to Ross

    Advertisements

I have already gotten accepted to the Medical University of Poland, Lublin and i started researching Ross and my main question that I can't find answered here or @ ross.edu... My question is that can I transfer from Poland to Ross after i do all of my basic science courses in Poland and another thing is that as a student with no Undergrad - Can i still apply to Ross? Do they any types of programs for students without a undergrad

you are allowed to transfer to ross but you must meet the same requirements as a first time applicant

---1 yr gen bio, 1 year gen chem, 1 year orgo, 1 year physics
and have at leats 90 semester hours

see in your case you are a us citizen going to an eu school therefore when you apply as a transfer you need to meet north american standards

if you were an eu student there is a little tricky legroom (with a-levels and what not) but still not that much room

You can always email the admissions dept at Ross, they are really good about replying. That way you can get correct information.

why not just start ross from the beginning? Doesn't make much sense to start at one school with plans of transferring in two years anyways. Ross has a US style curriculum but I wonder what Polands system is like and if they'd let you just transfer directly in.

Been in your shoes years ago...except that I had some undergrad.

Ross wants 3-4 yrs of undergrad before they will consider you. Sorry that's how it goes. Why don't you just do a degree at home in the US and then go to Ross?

I was not able to transfer but actually WANTED to start over. The european system teaches you about medicine and not about passing board exams (which is Ross's specialty).

Reconsider and explore ALL your options before trekking overseas.

    hmm...

I would say that very few students are being accepted without an undergraduate degree anymore. Next, you should not plan on transferring as its not an automatic thing and you may get stuck in Poland. Ross does not have any undergraduate coursework that takes the place of undergraduate pre-reqs.
