Don't tell me to do a search...

So, I was pretty happy to hear today that I got an interview in the LA office. And I've stalked these forums like it's my job. But alas, I haven't been able to find the best (primo, finest) hotel closest (within walking distance) and exuding the most comfort (i.e, money is not a concern -- I'm rich, beeeatch!) to the interviewing suite. Any suggestions? OK, ok, I'm really not rich at all. In fact I'm pretty much dirt poor, but I thought it would be cool and funny to pretend I was. However, I really do have an interview in the LA office in a few weeks. What is the best (not necessarily most expensive, but no mold on the walls/bathroom) and closest (this is the most important factor) hotel to stay at? I'll give Ross-LA a ring tomorrow to get their recommendation, but hopefully some of you guys who have experienced this can guide me. Thx.

How long have you waited since you submitted your application to get the interview?

I submitted my application last Thursday 4/6. Should I contact Ross about it or just wait for their reply? Thanx

If I could not afford a decent place, I would stay at a youth hostel and go from there. It may not be close but it would be dirt cheap.

There is Hilton Hotel right across the 405 Highway. You shouldn't have hard time finding a hotel since the place you'd be interviewing at is near John Wayne Air Port...

the interview place in LA is right next to K-town so there will be lots of close cheap places and some quite expensive. I stayed at the ramada on whilshire (sp?) blvd, same st. as interview, which is less than a 5 min ride (or cab). the place was "eh" for 96/night but luckily i had friends to walk to the bars with. if you're lucky and ask for a single non-smoking, they will be out of those rooms and give you a double for the same price! heh. good luck in your interview!
