I have a small child (she's 2) that will be going with me to Ross and would like to know if anyone has had any experience with their childcare program. Any info is helpful becauseI have been looking at the Ross website and even called about this, but I really dpnt have any definite answers as far as the time of day the school is in operation and price and things like that.

    Ross Prep School info

    Hi,

We have a daughter who is 7, and she is attending the Ross preperatory school on campus. They also run the day care there for the children who are not old enough to be attending school (K-8th grade). We have a son who is turning 2 soon, but he is staying at home with my wife so I don't have specific info for the day care. This is the info we got about the prep school:

Registration for the day school usually takes place at the same time time
as new student registration. Payment is expected to be sometime during the registration process (I think it is about $350 a semester).

There are no uniforms and children wear comfortable summer clothing.
Parents provide lunch and usually have it with them. You have to pick up
the children. Drop off times are 12.50 pm & 7.50 am. A teacher supervises
the children at these times. Pick up times are 12.00 pm and 3.00 pm.

I am not sure if this applies to the day care, but I think the two are similar. We used the e-mail below to get this info. It did take her a while to respond back (2-3 weeks) so be prepared.

    Good Luck!

When I was there the daycare ran from 8-5 and you have to get your child for lunch from 12-1...students should never have class during lunchtime (sometimes tests can run over). You can also sign your child up for only the morning or afternoon session if you desire.

    Daycare

    NikeX,

The daycare is pretty good. I have 2 children who are in daycare, 3yrs and 1yr old. They enjoy the daycare, and they are accomodating with schedules. The hours are 8-5, but you pick your child up for lunch. For some reason, this made it into dominican law.

If you come with a child, you NEED a jogging stroller here. We came here with 2 different ones, and they quickly bit the dust. Bring toys and anything that your child will miss.

If you have any other questions (for me or my wife), feel free to PM me.

    Mike
