General questions about working as a doctor in America

If this is the wrong forum feel free to move this mods.

    Hi guys,

I currently work as a doc in Ireland. The working conditions aren't ideal: junior doctors do phlebotomy, IV cannulas, ECGs and lots of other admin and grunt work. I'm just looking for some general information on working conditions in the US.

    1. Do junior doctors (residents?) do phlebotomy + lines + ecgs?
    2. What are the working hours like and the on call rota? Eg for surgery, medicine, psych. Obviously just looking for very rough estimates

That's all I can think of right now.
