As non-US citizen, I'm going to apply for J1 programs.

I have a couple of questions, and it bothers me why no one here has already asked them:

1. Personal Statement for J1 programs: should it reflect my desire to return back to my homeland country once I complete training at their program?? Because that is what J1 programs are tailored for: to give knowledge to foreign doctors and send them back home!

2. During interview at J1 program: when the ask the question about your long term plans in medicine:

If my honest plans are different: I intend to keep staying in US by doing a 2 year home residency waiver, should I mention that during the interview??? or just go with the "story" about how I want to learn in their residency program and go back home to "introduce" my experience in my homeland??
