    Hi Everyone,

I am trying to figure out whether there is a way to figureout how many pre-match spots were filled in a program prior to the match. Could someone pleasehelp me find this information?

check the acgme.org website or frieda for information on total number of approved positions on the program. then sign in to your nrmp account and search the program and it will give you the quota of that program. subtract the nrmp quota from the total approved positions and voila! you have your prematch number. btw this number will be dynamic and constantly changing until Jan 31 which is the quota deadline for programs. i.e. they have to finalize all prematch offers before that date. hope that helped.
I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.

Follow up question regarding this number:

One of the programs I'm looking at has 25 listed as their quota on NRMP and 34 approved spots for entering interns as per the ACGME website. Does that mean they've

    1) already offered and confirmed 9 prematches? (isn't it a little early in the season?)

    2) Or that maybe they are anticipating that they will offer 9 prematches as the season progresses and that number may change by a couple here and there until Jan 31 at which point they will provide their final quota?
